Troopers continued to investigate the accident on Monday. They did not say what led to the collisions.
A female pedestrian died on Sunday after she was hit by two vehicles on McCrary Road just north of Semmes. Around 5:40 p.m., a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Anthony Swann, 28, struck Melissa Chandler, 46, while Chandler was walking on McCrary Road. A second unidentified vehicle also hit Chandler, who was transported to the University of South Alabama Medical Center. She was pronounced deceased. Swann, of Chunchula, was not injured in the collision.
