Police also say a gold Chrysler Town & Country minivan was seen in the area. Investigators have not confirmed the presence of the van but would like to speak to the driver and passengers who may have seen Komok struck.

Surveillance footage shows Komok was walking with another person at the time of the crash, police said Thursday. The other person was unharmed and walked away from the scene, according to police, who want to talk to that witness.
