Search continues for Bethel man missing after boat accident

A 28-year-old southwest Alaska man is missing after a boat accident on the Johnson River. Alaska State Troopers say Benjamin Beaver Jr. of Bethel and a juvenile were traveling from Napakiak to Atmautluak when their boat struck a sandbar and sank. Napakiak is on the north bank of the Kuskokwim River about 15 miles southwest of Bethel. Searchers found the sunken boat on the sandbar. A search for Beaver has continued.
