A fatal collision between a sedan and tractor-trailer closed Jackrabbit Trail just south of Maricopa County Highway 85 on Tuesday morning.

1 dead in wreck near Buckeye

Helicopter footage showed a sedan and semi that were both off of the road, with the driver's-side compartment on the passenger car partially crushed by the truck.

MCSO: 1 killed in Buckeye crash

The driver of the passenger car, 35-year-old Alma Mancilla was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the semi-truck was transported to the hospital for precautionary reasons.
A car driver was killed Tuesday morning after failing to yield to a large gravel truck at Maricopa County Highway 85 and Jackrabbit Road south of Interstate 10 in Buckeye. The gravel truck turned on its side, and the driver, Ruben Perez, 52, was minorly injured. Only the drivers were involved. We'll update this story as more information becomes available.
