Chandler officer killed in crash on way to work

The Gilbert Police Department is investigating the cause of the crash.

Holmes is survived by his wife and four children.

Jesse Sanger, spokesman for the Gilbert Police Department, said preliminary information shows that an SUV traveling westbound on Baseline Road ran a red light and crashed into the officer.

Fundraisers will help families of slain Chandler officers

The Chandler Law Enforcement Association has partnered with Famous Dave's barbeque to host two fund raising events Wednesday for the families of Chandler police officers Bryant Holmes and David Payne, who were killed in separate collisions this week.

Community honors 2 Chandler officers killed in crashes

Donation accounts have been established for the families of Payne and Holmes. Contributions can be at any branch office of Arizona Bank & Trust: Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio and members of the Sheriff's Office Memorial Fund will give the families of the two officers $25,000 each.

Community remembering Chandler officer

Friends and family joined members of the law-enforcement community in remembering Chandler Police Officer Bryant Holmes who was killed in an off-duty wreck.

Officers take daughter of fallen AZ officer to father-daughter daughter dance

When the school of one of those daughters was having a father-daughter dance, officers from the Chandler and Gilbert police departments made sure the young Miss Holmes would have a memorable time.
