After Villegas was released from the hospital, he was booked into jail on one count of manslaughter and one count of causing a death while on a suspended license, police said.

The motorcycle was traveling east on Camelback Road when a truck heading north on 45th Avenue ran a stop sign, colliding with the motorcycle and pushing it on its side, police said. The motorcyclist, Terry Douglas, 53, was declared dead at the scene.
