Man arrested in fatal Phoenix rollover crash

A 29-year-old man is facing charges in his cousin's death following a rollover crash on Baseline Road. The victim, Leonardo Carrizoza, 31, was a passenger in the station wagon that crashed Tuesday morning on Baseline Road near 24th Street. Phoenix police Sgt. Tommy Thompson said the driver, Marcos Antonio Payan, lost control and the van crossed over the center median and rolled over. The vehicle then crashed into two trees and Carrizoza was thrown from the vehicle, police said.

Carrizoza was found unconscious and taken to a hospital, where he died.
