Female motorcyclist killed in Scottsdale collision

The collision and investigation forced police to close the frontage road until about 1 a.m. Thursday, he said.
A 23-year-old woman was speeding south on her motorcycle on a frontage road near Loop 101 and Bell Road when she came up on stalled traffic and wasn't able to stop before hitting a car, throwing her from the motorcycle and into the roadway. She was brought to a local hospital, where she was later pronounced dead. We'll update this story as more information becomes available.
