Motorcyclist dies in early a.m. NW-side crash

A 43-year-old man died in a motorcycle crash early Saturday morning on the northwest side.
Robert Charles Looney, of Tucson, was driving northbound at approximately 1:30 p.m. on Twin Peaks Road when struck the median. Looney's 44-year-old wife was a passenger on his motorcycle, and suffered serious injuries. She was taken to Banner University Medical Center. Neither rider was wearing a helmet, according to authorities.
