Police release names, make arrest in Friday motorcycle crash
Investigators have determined that the driver of a 1997 Chevrolet pickup truck was driving southbound on South Santa Clara Avenue and slowing to turn left onto West Calle Aragon when the truck was struck from behind by a 1996 Harley Davidson motorcycle, causing the truck to roll over, according to a TPD media release.
Since motorcycle crashes often end in serious injuries, victims need immediate help
Motorcycle accidents are more likely to end in serious injuries or death for the motorcyclist, since the rider is not protected from the force of a collision. When a motorcycle accident happens, the injured rider needs immediate, appropriate medical care, the accident needs to be investigated, and the insurance companies need to be informed.
When a motorcycle crash is caused by negligence, additional steps need to be taken to protect the legal rights of the injured motorcyclist or the family members of someone killed in a motorcycle crash. Go here to learn more about motorcycle accidents and claims.
