At least 3 killed in crash involving semi on westbound I-10
One person was pronounced dead at the scene and multiple people were transported to the hospital with serious injuries, after a semi-truck failed to stop for traffic, said Quentin Mehr, an Arizona Department of Public Safety spokesman.

A semi-truck heading west failed to stop in time, hit another vehicle and caused a chain-reaction crash, according to investigators.

One person died at the scene, and three people were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Two of those later died, according to Arizona Department of Public Safety public information officer Quentin Mehr.

The girl, who died at Banner University Medical Center, was a passenger in a car driven by Abril Castillo, who died at the scene. Tina Totty, the driver of a pickup truck, also died at UMC.
