I-55 wreck kills 1, injures 4

One person was killed and four others injured in a pickup that was struck by another vehicle on Interstate 55 in Crittenden County Thursday, Arkansas State Police said. It was the 479th fatality of 2015 on Arkansas roads, according to state police records. Police did not name the driver of the Volvo or a Hyundai Elantra that was struck by debris from the crash. Crittenden County Coroner William Wolfe pronounced Greeno dead at the scene, according to the report. Road conditions at the time of the crash were described as clear and dry.

2 Poinsett County residents killed, 3 injured in I-55 crash

According to Arkansas State Police the crash happened Dec. 3 at 11:17 a.m. on Interstate 55 in Crittenden County at mile marker 13. Samuel Mayberry of Harrisburg was driving the Ford and was injured along with passengers Johnny Lindsey of Harrisburg and Kellye Faulkner of Harrisburg. ASP stated the weather conditions were clear and the road was dry at the time of the crash. A man and woman were killed while three others were injured in a crash involving three vehicles on an interstate highway. Police stated a Volvo, Ford Ranger and Hyundai Elantra were headed north on I-55 when the Volvo drove onto the west shoulder and overcorrected.
