Joselito Meza is being held on $145,000 bail after a collision that killed pedestrian Miguel Angel Aldaco, 22. Meza pleaded not guilty Tuesday to four felony charges including gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated. Police said Meza was under the influence of alcohol when officers contacted him at 2:40 a.m. Sunday. He told police that he'd been carjacked, but officers found Meza's vehicle nearby, which had front-end damage. Police found Aldaco dead in the median of Buena Vista Road. Investigators found evidence tying Meza's vehicle to the collision. It turns out that Meza and Aldaco had been together Saturday evening at the Firehouse Restaurant.
