Man killed in head-on collision with fire truck on Highway 99 in Shasta County, California

The California Highway Patrol's preliminary investigation shows that the elderly man driving the Prizm drifted off onto the right hand shoulder, ran over a sign, over corrected, went through the median, and then drove into the northbound lane, colliding head-on with the Cal Fire truck.
