Andres Mendoza, 59, killed and Jose Antonio Montano, 31, arrested in alleged DUI collision at Jensen and Chateau Fresno near Fresno, California
Fresno police have taken over the investigation. Lt. Joe Gomez said one driver is dead and a second has been arrested on charges of felony driving under the influence and manslaughter.
Lt. Joe Gomez said Jose Antonio Montano, 31, was driving a Chevrolet Avalanche pickup when he collided head-on with a Honda Accord, killing the driver.
Montano was arrested on suspicion of vehicular homicide, felony DUI and felony DUI with a blood-alcohol level higher than 0.08 percent.
The Fresno County coroner identified the dead man as Andres Mendoza, 59, of Kerman.
