The Fresno County Coroner’s office identified 40-year-old Lorenzo Lebres Rodriguez of Caruthers, as the man killed after his 2000 Chevrolet Metro spun into a big rig just before 5 p.m. Monday.

Fatal crash closes Hwy 41 near Lemoore for two hours
The California Highway Patrol first reported the crash involving a small vehicle and a big rig along Highway 41 near Laguna just before 5 p.m. this afternoon. Since then highway onramps at Laguna and Excelsior have both been closed, according to the CHP.
Details are still emerging on a fatal crash that closed northbound Highway 41 near Excelsior Avenue Monday afternoon.

The CHP reports one fatality. No details have been provided on additional injuries.
