Truck driver critical after crash on treacherous stretch of Loma Vista Drive in Beverly Hills, California

The collision occurred in the 800 block of Loma Vista Drive about 8:20 a.m., according to the Beverly Hills Police Department. The truck driver, who was trapped in the wreckage for some time, was taken to a hospital, where he is listed in critical condition, police said.  The driver of a cement truck was also in May hurt when he crashed on Loma Vista, spilling cement. Last March, a dump truck collided with a Los Angeles Police Department cruiser on the same roadway along Loma Vista Drive at Doheny Road. A truck driver was in critical condition on Friday after he crashed into a parked car in Beverly Hills on the same steep roadway where two LAPD officers were killed in separate accidents, officials said.
