Hit-and-Run Driver Who Struck and Killed Woman in El Monte Sought

Investigators are asking for the public’s help to find a hit-and-run driver who struck a 74-year-old woman and drove away in El Monte Sunday. Anyone with information is asked to call the El Monte Police Department at 626-580-2114. Investigators have no other information about the driver, according to a statement from the El Monte Police Department, and are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash to come forward. The woman later died from her injuries, investigators said Monday afternoon. Police were called around 12:30 Sunday afternoon to the 11300 block of Valley Boulevard, near Gibson Avenue, where they found the woman had been left lying in the roadway.
