Pregnant Woman Severely Injured in Crash With Fire Truck

A pregnant woman was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries Tuesday after the car she was in allegedly ran a red light and hit a fire truck in Lancaster, throwing her from the vehicle, officials said.

“The Toyota Avalon changed lanes from the No. 2 to the No. 3 lane to pass the stopped vehicles and collided into the emergency vehicle in the intersection,” Politano stated. “The collision diverted the Toyota Avalon into a traffic signal pole.”

A woman was riding in the backseat of a car that allegedly ran a red light and struck a fire truck. She was thrown from the vehicle and sustained life-threatening injuries. The woman was taken to a hospital for treatment. Two people in the car with her and a firefighter received minor injuries.
