Man, 28, in ICU After Hit-and-Run Crash in South L.A.
The victim was struck as he walked in a crosswalk just after 4:30 p.m. at Broadway and 89th Street, according to Sgt. Philip Ybarra with the Los Angeles Police Department’s South Traffic Division.

Neighbors said they saw a black SUV, possibly a Yukon or Tahoe. LAPD officials said they had surveillance video of the accident, but they were not releasing it because they do not want to jeopardize the ongoing investigation.
