Pedestrian Found Dead Under Metro Blue Train in South LA

Service on the Metro Blue Line was suspended Monday morning after a fatal collision involving a train and a pedestrian in South Los Angeles, officials said. The Metro Blue Line is currently suspended between Vernon Avenue and Washington Boulevard stations. Bus shuttles are being provided to transport customers between Washington Boulevard and Vernon Avenue during the investigation. All northbound trains are traveling as far as Vernon Avenue Station and turning back to Long Beach, according to Metro. Southbound trains are traveling to Washington Boulevard and returning to 7th Street/Metro Center.
