The wrong-way driver was going southbound about 3:25 a.m. Friday in the northbound fast lane of the freeway transition in a 1998 Honda Accord when he crashed head-on into a northbound 2017 Ford Mustang driven by 19-year-old Diego Barragan of Palmdale, according to the California Highway Patrol.
