The driver was westbound on St. Gertrude Place about 10:40 a.m. when he went through a stop sign at South Greenville Street, narrowly missing a woman and her 4-year-old child. The SUV slammed through a fence and pole and into a house, according to Santa Ana police Cpl. Anthony Bertagna.
