CHP: Amtrak Train Hits Pickup Near Pleasant Grove, 1Killed

PLEASANT GROVE (CBS13) – Authorities say a young man was killed after his pickup truck was hit by an Amtrak train. According to California Highway Patrol’s Yuba-Sutter division, the Amtrak train was on its way from Seattle to Sacramento when it hit the truck. CHP says the man inside the truck was killed in the crash. No one on the train was injured, CHP says. The incident happened a little before 9 a.m. near Keys and Natomas roads.

Teen killed in Sutter County train accident

The front of the Amtrak passenger train struck the front of the truck at 8:45 a.m. on Keys Road east of Natomas Road in rural south Sutter County.
