A motorcycle officer with the Rancho Police Department was injured Friday when he lost control of his bike and crashed.
A male Rancho Cordova police officer was riding a motorcycle on a dirt road near Roosmoor drive and was on his way to provide backup for another officer when he lost control of his bike on loose dirt and crashed into a wire fence. The extent of the officer's injuries was unclear, but he may have had broken bones.
