Police have not determined whether the man was the victim of a hit-and-run crash, according to Sgt. Doug Morse, a spokesperson for the Sacramento Police Department.

Police got request for medical assistance at about 9:17pm, when a man was discovered lying in the roadway of Santiago Avenue with serious, but non-life threatening injuries. He was taken to the hospital and is expected to be okay, but police still aren't certain what caused the man's injuries. Check back for updates as investigation continues.
