Pedestrian Hit And Killed In Sacramento

Around 5:20 a.m., the man, described by police as a 42-year-old Asian male transient, was crossing Power Inn Road at Florin Road against the light when he was struck by a northbound vehicle that had a green light, according to CHP spokesperson Officer Michael Bradley. Speed and alcohol reportedly did not contribute to the crash; however fog is believed to have been a factor. The name of the pedestrian has not been released.

A driver traveling northbound on Power Inn Road had the green light when he began proceeding through the intersection at Florin Road. When the driver approached the crosswalk on the north side of the intersection, he saw Li running into the path of his car.
