Interstate 80 at West El Camino blocked due to major injury crash
The accident, involving a worker who was struck by a car, happened near the West El Camino Avenue exit on Interstate 80 east. Caltrans officials closed the connector ramp from US 50 to eastbound I-80 at around 7:45 a.m. because of the accident.

Traffic was being diverted from eastbound Interstate 80 at West El Camino Avenue after a motorist hit a subcontractor working on the “Across the Top” construction project.
The California Highway Patrol traffic incident webpage indicates that the worker’s truck was stopped in a lane and was hit by a sedan at about 4:30 a.m. Tuesday.
