Suspect arrested in hit-and-run of CHP officer on I-80
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (KCRA) —A man was taken into custody in Fairfield after hitting a California Highway Patrol motorcycle officer Thursday on Interstate 80 in Sacramento and driving away, officials said. The driver left the scene going westbound and was caught just after 2 p.m. near North Texas Street in Fairfield on I-80 after a 50-mile pursuit, according to CHP. No other information about the suspect was available.
