Dozens Of Vehicles Involved In Crash NearTruckee

Dozens of cars, plus four big rigs, were involved in a crash just past the Nevada state line, holding up traffic on Interstate 80 for several hours. Expect residual slowing even when the roads reopen, crews say. TRUCKEE (CBS13) – Slushy conditions is making for a horrific day of driving in the Sierra. Caltrans crews are currently working to clear the last of the collisions. No injuries have been reported in any of the crashes.

The crash happened about 3:30 p.m.

CHP reported 25 vehicles and four semi-trucks were involved in the wreck.

Officers closed Interstate 80 westbound at the Nevada state line. Eastbound traffic is stopped at Hirschdale Road.

Eastbound and westbound lanes on Interstate 80 near Truckee were closed due to multiple spin outs, Caltrans tweeted Sunday afternoon.

California Highway Patrol posted on their Facebook page that multiple collisions closed eastbound lanes on I-80 were at Hirshdale Road and westbound lanes on I-80 were closed at the Nevada state line to Hirschdale Road.
