Driver of big rig dies in crash on Highway 99 in Turlock
Preliminary reports indicate the big rig left the freeway near Lander Avenue and came close to hitting the apartment complex after striking three parked cars.
There was a man in one of the parked cars and he was taken to a nearby hospital. He is being treated for for minor injuries.

The big rig driver’s family, too heartbroken to speak on camera, told FOX40 he was a nice guy. They said he was on his way to Hayward from Livingston to deliver home building materials.
