TV reports showed the broken but largely intact plane lying on scrubby ground just below a ridgeline. The cause of the crash is under federal investigation.

Because of the difficult location, a recovery crew was flown in the next day to a ridge and then hiked down about 50 yards to the wreckage. Names of the victims have yet to be released.
