Two people hospitalized after plane crashes into power lines in Sonoma County, CA

2 injured in Sonoma County plane crash

The two-seat plane, a Kitfox IV, apparently went down at 2:15 p.m. after hitting power lines about four miles west of the Napa Airportnear Ramal Road, said Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Ian Gregor.

Two people aboard the aircraft were taken to a hospital. Gregor did not immediately know the extent of their injuries.

Plane crash near Sonoma injures two

At 2:17 p.m. a 911 caller reported a small, white plane had crash landed into a vineyard off of Ramal Road, at the Carneros Hill Winery. The property is southeast of Sonoma near the Napa County line.
After the plane hit the power lines and crashed into a vineyard, its passengers were both transported to a local hospital. One of them, an 80-year-old man, suffered injuries including to one leg.
