Overturned tractor trailer shuts down part of Mission Boulevard
A portion of Mission Boulevard in Fremont was closed Tuesday morning after a tractor-trailer truck overturned and spilled scrap metal and diesel fuel onto the roadway, authorities said.

A tractor trailer was traveling north just before 10:30 a.m. on Mission Boulevard near Stevenson Boulevard. While attempting a turn, the truck flipped onto its side. It was not immediately known what caused the truck to turn over, but the wreck left a large amount of scrap metal and around 100 gallons of spilled fuel on Mission Boulevard. The driver of the truck suffered non-life threatening injuries and some of the debris also hit an SUV on Stevenson Boulevard but the SUV driver was not injured.
