Fremont: Niles Canyon Road closed due to vehicle crash

FREMONT -- Police are asking motorists to avoid Niles Canyon Road, which will be closed for several hours because of a major vehicle crash on Thursday. Officers responded to reports of a crash shortly before 11:30 a.m. on Niles Canyon Road. Motorists expecting to drive on the roadway east of Fremont's Niles district should choose alternate routes, police said.
