Car fleeing U.S. Marshals collides with van, injuring at least five people including a 4-year-old on 23rd Avenue in Oakland, California

U.S. Marshals were conducting surveillance in an unmarked vehicle in East Oakland when a black Buick sedan attempted to avoid surveillance. However, the suspect car collided with the marshal's vehicle and then kept going. The Buick then collided with a paratransit van on 23rd avenue. The driver of the Buick, along with a male passenger and a four-year-old child were all taken to the hospital. The driver of the van and one of the passengers were also transported to the hospital. None of the injuries appeared to be life-threatening.
