Multiple people injured in crash between tour bus and SUV on The Embarcadero in San Francisco, California

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) — Eight people were injured Saturday evening just north of the Ferry Building in San Francisco in a tour bus crash, fire officials said. Andrew Smith, General Manager and Senior VP of Big Bus Tours said the SUV moved from the left lane in front of the Big Bus double-decker. “Police investigation has it listed as a fender-bender,” said Smith. “The (tour bus) driver was fined, a little shaken up, but fine.” Last month, a crash involving a double-decker tour bus in San Francisco’s Union Square injured 20, according to police and fire officials. The first report of the crash came in at 5:53 p.m. on the northbound side of The Embarcadero at Broadway. The driver of the SUV was cited for an illegal lane change. All eight suffered minor injuries, according to fire officials.
