San Jose police: DUI driver killed pedestrian in East San Jose
It marked the city's 39th traffic death of the year and the 21st to involve a pedestrian.
Rogelia Ochoa Lino was struck and killed shortly before 4:30 p.m. in the area of Barberry Lane and South King Road in east San Jose. The driver, 40-year-old Jaime Fernandez, stopped after the collision. He was arrested on suspicion of DUI and vehicular manslaughter and is currently being held in Santa Clara County jail.
