Driver Killed In San Jose In Collision With VTA Train

A collision between a 2007 Saturn and a light rail train in San Jose left one person dead and another injured Saturday evening, according to police. Saturday'€™s crash was San Jose'€™s twenty-third traffic fatality so far in 2015, according to police. There were no passengers on the train at the time of the collision, and the conductor was not injured, according to police. The driver was killed and a passenger was transported to a hospital with injuries not thought to be life-threatening. The collision occurred at 7:39 p.m. at Capitol and Madden avenues when the Saturn'€™s driver attempted a U-turn directly in front of a light-rail train operated by the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Agency.
