San Jose: Fatal crash reported along northbound Interstate 280

SAN JOSE -- A fatal crash involving a motorcyclist caused some delays for commuters along northbound Interstate 280 at the Interstate 880, according to the California Highway Patrol. The crash was reported around 6:45 p.m. at the connector between northbound I-280 and northbound I-880, per the CHP. According to authorities, a motorcyclist and at least one car collided. The motorcyclist has died, according the CHP. More information on the crash was not immediately available. Commuters could expect delays after the CHP closed the northbound I-280 transition to Highway 17 and I-280. The CHP stated there was not estimated time for that connector to reopen.
