UPDATE: Woman killed in crash near Penrose identified

State Patrol is investigating a deadly crash that happened in Fremont County Tuesday morning.

Victim Of Deadly Penrose Crash ID'd

The driver of the Dodge Ram, identified as 57-year-old Gary Patterson of Westcliffe, was uninjured. Passengers Mary Patterson, 77, and 78-year-old James Patterson of Westcliffe were taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries. All were reportedly wearing seat belts.

Jamie Tennant was driving on State Highway 50 at M Street when she was struck by a Dodge truck going east on Highway 50. She was not wearing a seat belt, and was pronounced dead at the scene. Two passengers in the truck received minor injuries. Failure to yield right of way is considered a contributing factor in this accident.
