Three hurt in head-on crash in Pueblo

Shelton's car hit a truck head-on that was heading east, police said. Witnesses told police that Shelton hit two other vehicles before that accident as well.
Three people were hurt in a head-on crash on Highway 50 near the Pueblo airport around 8:30 Monday (6/2/14) night. Pueblo Police said Alyssa Shelton, 34, was driving west in the eastbound lanes of Highway 50, west of the Pueblo Municipal Airport interchange. Police said she was also driving without headlights. Shelton's car hit a truck head-on that was heading east, police said. Witnesses told police that Shelton hit two other vehicles before that accident as well. Shelton and the driver of the truck are in critical condition, police said. A passenger in the truck was treated and released. An investigation is ongoing, but Pueblo Police said that alcohol is likely a factor in the accident.
