The friend, who did not want to be identified, because he wanted the focus to be on Hodges, said that Hodges most recently worked as an assistant baseball coach for Iowa Western Community College and had been in Grand Junction for the Junior College World Series.
Hodges’ driver’s license showed an address in Nebraska, Colorado State Patrol Trooper Darel Reed said. The victim’s friend said he was originally from Jackson, Wyo., and had worked in Nebraska prior to his job at Iowa Western.
