Female Passenger Killed In I-225 Crash Involving RTD Bus

Aurora police said they are investigating whether the SUV was “traveling too fast for the roadway conditions.”
Police responded to an SUV rollover on I-225 Friday at about 4:45 a.m. near East 6th Avenue, in which a passenger was ejected from an Oldsmobile Bravada. The Oldsmobile SUV was southbound when the driver lost control on the icy interstate, striking an RTD bus as it veered out of control and rolled over, ejecting the female victim. The SUV driver was brought the hospital with non-life-threatening injured. Neither person in the Oldsmobile were wearing seat belts. The bus driver was not injured, and no passengers were onboard at the time of the crash. We'll update this story as more information becomes available.
