Man in wheelchair killed in auto-pedestrian crash on Alameda Avenue in Aurora
Police reopened Alameda Avenue shortly before 8 p.m. Thursday night after conducting an investigation of the scene.
At about 3:30 p.m., the driver of an eastbound vehicle on Alameda Avenue apparently experienced a medical emergency that caused them to lose consciousness and drive up onto the southern sidewalk, where the car struck and killed an unidentified man in a wheelchair. It then continued to collide with a power pole and finally another car. Both the first driver and the driver of that car sustained only minor injuries.
