Police Search For Hit & Run Driver Who Struck, KilledMan

DENVER (CBS4)– Police in Denver are searching for the driver who struck two people, killing one, and sped away early Saturday morning. The two people, one man and one woman, were struck about midnight in the 3000 block of Walnut Street. The man died at the scene and the woman was rushed to the hospital with minor injuries. Police believe they were sitting in the alley when they were struck. Police are looking for a truck but there are no other details provided in the suspect vehicle description.

The office says Michael Alvarado died of blunt force injuries in the collision about 12:15 a.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene in an alley between the 3000 blocks of Walnut and Blake streets.
