2 children, 2 adults identified in deadly Highway 85 crash

The names of the four people who died in a horrific crash on U.S. Highway 85 Sunday night have been released and two of them are children.

Repeat DUI offender involved in crash that killed family

A suspected drunk driver who had at least seven prior DUI arrests was involved in a Weld County crash that killed a family and himself. 
A 2011 Dodge Ram pickup driven by Rigoberto Macias-Marquez of La Salle was northbound in the left lane of Highway 85 when the sidewall of a tired ruptured, causing the pickup to cross the road into oncoming traffic, striking 2004 Honda Odyssey minivan driven by Gilbert Martinez of La Salle, which ripped the left passenger compartment from the Honda. Both drivers were killed, as were two children in the minivan, 1-year-old Bryson Martinez and 6-year old Ethan Martinez. 32-year-old Mistelle Martinez, also of La Salle, was a passenger in the Honda and survived with non-life-threatening injuries. She was was taken to North Colorado Medical Center. Alcohol is being investigated as contributing to the crash.
