Lakewood High School basketball player dies after I-70 crash

Mackenzie Forrest, 17, lost control of a 1997 Toyota 4Runner while traveling eastbound on I-70 about 3:25 a.m., the Colorado State Patrol said. The SUV went up an embankment, returned to the highway and rolled twice. Forrest, the only occupant of the vehicle, was ejected.

So sad that teens often don't wear safety belts - she could have walked away from this but instead her family and friends suffer the consequences for the rest of their lives.  Please, make sure everyone in your vehicle buckles up!
