Police: Man killed after jumping onto hood of car to stop woman from driving drunk
The Monte Vista Police Department is calling the incident a domestic violence case, but was unable to confirm the nature of the relationship between Marquez and Martinez.
Autumn Martinez, 21, is charged with vehicular homicide, DUI and reckless driving in a fatal crash into a tree, after man jumped onto the hood of Martinez’s vehicle in an attempt to prevent her from driving drunk. She allegedly drove into a tree, killing the man, identified as Kendrick Marquez, 25. According to authorities, the investigation shows that a domestic disturbance occurred before the crash.
