Small plane crashes south of Centennial airport, South Metro Fire says
The plane went down in the area of Belford Avenue and Peoria Street at around 3:45 p.m. It struck trees and crashed in an empty office building parking lot, crews at the scene tweeted.
Nearby Police Helicopter Helped Guide Rescue Crews To Plane Crash
A helicopter manned by Denver police was nearby, and responded. Although it took several minutes to locate the aircraft, Denver police were able to guide firefighters from South Metro Fire Rescue to the scene.
